LIQUID DANCE

Introducing LIQUID DANCE: Flare, Shadow, and Echo—a trio of brass candle holders designed to illuminate spaces with the interplay of light, shadow, and reflection. These pieces are a continuation of my exploration into the effects and illusions of water, inspired by sunlight glimmering across rippling surfaces.

Originally hand-sawn to capture the intricate patterns of water, these candle holders now embrace precision laser cutting to achieve their refined forms, while preserving the organic essence of the original designs.

Each holder is crafted from 1mm-thick brass, chosen for its ability to develop a rich patina over time, a process that mirrors the transformative nature of water. As air, moisture, and touch interact with the material, the surface evolves, adding depth and individuality to each piece. 

When a candle is lit, the hollow designs come to life, casting intricate shadows that shift and dance on surrounding walls. The flickering flame evokes the rhythmic movement of water, inviting moments of calm reflection and connection with nature’s fluid beauty.
